This year marks the 50th anniversary of the ‘adoption’ of over 200 students and faculty from the Sopron School of Forestry by the University of BC when they were forced to flee Hungary during the Soviet invasion. Join us on June 14-16th 2007 in a celebration to commemorate the Soproners arrival in Canada, to recognize their achievements and the special part they played in UBC’s history
