Forest Governance Stakeholder Update Meetings – Beijing
The next International Forest Governance Stakeholder Update meeting in Beijing will be held on the 1st and 2nd November at the Oriental Garden Hotel. The event will focus on industry tools for removing high-risk wood from supply chains and policy, research and civil society developments in the region.

Forest Governance Stakeholder Update Meetings – London
Detailed notes are now available from July’s International Update meeting, and it has been agreed that the eleventh event will take place on the 17th and 18th January. As ever, the meetings are open to all but pre-registration is essential. Please contact Rena Karypidou in our programme office to register.

Forest Governance and Reduced Emissions from Avoided Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD)
A discussion meeting on the potential technical synergies between forest governance processes including EU FLEGT and the development of a REDD mechanism in the post-Kyoto climate regime took place at Chatham House on the 10th September. Presentations are available on the website and detailed notes will be published there shortly.
FLEGT Legality Assurance meeting - Brussels
A meeting on the implementation of FLEGT voluntary partnership agreement (VPA) legality assurance systems took place in Brussels on the 27th September. Presentations are available on the website and notes will be published there shortly.
