A local entrepreneur in northern Sweden is planning to build a giant artificial elk that will rise 45 meters from the ground. The elk will among other things house a restaurant and a concert arena.
The 45 meter tall elk will be called Stoorn and it now seems like Thorbjorn Holmlunds old dream is about to become reality, according to Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.

Holmlund got the idea already ten years ago, but its the last three years that the project has become more than an idea. Only details remain before construction can begin.
Inside the elk there will be a restaurant and a concert arena with a capacity of 350 guests. The elk will be placed on a mountain top on the border between to counties in northern Sweden. The elks head will be located in the county of Norrbotten while its tail will be in the county of Västerbotten.
From its position 500 meter above sea level, it will be visible in a large radius around. Holmlund promise that the view from the top of the elk will be quite special.
