A total of 157 very serious fires have been recorded in 2009, of which a third led to roads being cut off to traffic.
The report, by the Council of Ministers, reveals that 73 fires led to 37,285 people being evacuated from their homes.
This research, covering the impact of natural disasters over the course of the year, has also revealed that the recent floods have caused the death of three people in Jaén, one in Toledo and another in Murcia.
