About Forestry Commission Scotland
Forestry Commission Scotland is involved in many areas of work that really make an impact on people’s lives. As Scotland’s biggest land manager we ensure that your national forests and woodlands work hard for the benefit of the whole country.
We manage your forests for timber and at the same time work hard to ensure the wildlife in them is protected. From sea eagles to squirrels, we’re at the forefront of nature conservation.
Being Scotland’s biggest provider of outdoor recreation our staff manage scenic forest trails and some of the best mountain bike routes in the world.
As a focus for communities our rangers encourage local involvement through a range of partnership projects. From healthy walk programmes to encouraging volunteers in deprived areas - we do it all.
Our staff are our most important asset. Many come to us straight from school or from college or university, and have stayed with us to build a great career.
We offer: good salaries, generous holiday entitlement, a pension, flexible working and benefits packages.
on-going training throughout a career so that you can get the most from your working life.
