Jun 24, 2012 - A fire burning in the Larimer County town of Estes Park is isolated to one neighborhood. The fire, called the Woodland Heights Fire, began around noon Saturday.
The County Sheriff's Office says firefighters are still working toward full containment. To date, they've estimated the fire is 75 percent confined.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
“I know this area, I lived here for many years in Estes Park. We have friends who live up here. I know some of these people, it’s tough,” Larimer County Sheriff Justin Smith said.
The Red Cross has set up a shelter at Estes Park High School located at 1600 Manford Avenue. An evacuee-only meeting will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
