7 April 2015 - The CIC proudly announces the attendance of His Royal Highness Senior Chief Inyambo Yeta at the 62nd CIC General Assembly in Pravets, Bulgaria.
This visionary man is responsible for the Lozi People from the Sisheke District in south-western Zambia. At the forefront of his mission are the sustainable development of the Lozi and the protection of the landscape they inhabit.
His objective is allowing Lozi Communities to reclaim their historical rights to managing wildlife and forest, and getting them involved in the conservation of the natural wild resources which surround them. Together with Chief Sekute, Senior Chief Inyambo Yeta played an integral role in establishing the 350,000 hectare Simahala Community Conservancy; this ambitious project on the Simahala Floodplain aims at re-establishing the once rich wildlife and counts on the collaboration and support of all community members.
Senior Chief Inyambo Yeta will address the CIC General Assembly during the Opening Ceremony to share his vision of real African community conservation.
