President’s Budget is Bad for Forests
The Trump Administration’s FY2018 budget proposes drastic cuts that harm our forests, parks, and wildlife refuges.
The Trump administration released its proposed FY2018 budget, which included drastic cuts to vital programs that protect and restore our forests. The severity of these cuts will not create greater government efficiency but could reverse years of progress in conservation. The Administration's proposal hurts all of the nation’s forests, the Land and Water Conservation Fund, national wildlife refuges, and our National Parks. While members from both sides of the aisle have stated Trump’s budget will not be accepted, Congress needs to know that cuts like these don’t belong in their budget either.
