Beautiful images of wood can be seen everywhere: a tree standing alone on a hill, wooden cladding catching the evening light, an old wooden house defying the elements, details of a wood construction, a wood boat reflecting in the water, a close-up of a wood knot. As a living material, wood catches the eye of most people in ways that are sometimes obvious, sometimes not so obvious. Are you able to capture the beauty of wood by the art of photograhy and turn your fascination into beautiful photographs?
Building Europe, the European Wood Magazine, wishes to showcase this fascination and asks you to send in pictures with a brief text describing the location and circumstances under which you took the picture.
Share your fascination and maybe you will win our first prize: a Nikon D70 kit with 17-80mm DX Nikkor lens.

The competition is about the art of photography and the fascination for wood. The sender may only submit pictures of which he is the copyright holder. Building Europe waivers any responsibility on infringement thereof. By sending in material a participant agrees with the condition that Building Europe and its partners can publish the photo free of charge in either printed media or on a website. Reselling the pictures by Building Europe or its partners is strictly prohibited. Building Europe will become the owner of the sent material. There will be no correspondence on the seclusion of the competition. The winner will be notified.
Members of the editorial team of Building Europe and their families are excluded from participation.
