MILWAUKEE- TAPPI Paper Expo will be held May 23-25, 2005, at the Midwest Airlines Convention Center in Milwaukee, WI. The Milwaukee event is the first in a new series of TAPPI Paper Expo exhibits that will rotate throughout the United States, bringing the latest technology and educational opportunities close to the nation's pulp and paper mills. TAPPI President Wayne Gross stated "With 25% of all U.S. mills within driving distance, Milwaukee is an ideal location for our first Paper Expo exhibit. Not only is it easy to get to, but it's very cost effective to visit. We look forward to bringing an excellent exhibit and high-quality educational programming to the area."

Paper Expo 2005 will showcase machinery, materials and services representing the scope of technological advancements in the pulp and paper industry. In addition to the first-class exhibit, Paper Expo also features the TAPPI Practical Papermaking Conference, plus a special Mill Operations Program and a first-ever Training Leaders Forum.
The not-to-be-missed Keynote Address will be delivered by John Gillen, Senior Vice President Coated Mechanical Paper, Stora Enso North America on Monday, May 23, 2005 at 12:30 p.m. The Leaders Forum panel will follow, anchored by Roger Brear, Senior Vice President Paper Manufacturing, Domtar Industries, Inc.; Kevin Richard, Senior Vice President Operations, Mohawk Paper Mills, Inc.; and David Spraley, Senior Vice President Manufacturing, North American Consumer Products, Georgia-Pacific Corporation.
TAPPI Paper Expo 2005 has something for everyone. Paper Expo visitors will discover practical information, tools, workshops, and opportunities to find solutions to their most challenging issues. Developed exclusively for manufacturing site employees, the Mill Operations Program offers free learning sessions for operations and operations management personnel. The Practical Papermaking conference is organized around three tracks to give you the information you need to run your mill more efficiently--New Developments, Optimization and Downtime, and Practical Knowledge Toolkit.
