Finland came out winner in a comparison of environment conservation policy made by the Yale and Columbia universities.The finding of this American study is that Finland is a model country in respect of sustainable development. Norway placed second and Sweden third.
The purpose of the study was to find out the state of the environment. Finland had top marks for forest management, air quality, water purity, air pollution control and waste disposal. Finland was the top country also in respect of effective environment conservation policy and research in this area.
