The second European Wood Day will be staged in the Yayoi Auditorium of the prestigious Tokyo University this autumn. Cooperation in invitations and arrangements has already been promised by the University and by the Japan Association of Timber Engineering. The conference is arranged by the partners in European Wood. Japanese authorities, architects, specifiers, construction companies and educators will be the prime target groups.
Kiln dried wood for construction not yet has become a matter of course in Japan, and the sick-house problem is day-to-day news. So obviously there are a number of European experiences to share with the Japanese construction and research community.
Last years European Wood Day had a hefty press coverage, and with repetition, the image of European Wood industry being present and active in Japan will continue to grow
