The aim of The Wood Awards is to recognise and encourage outstanding design, craftmanship and installation in joinery and structures in wood.
The Wood Awards 2005 is being held on 19th October at Carpenters' Hall in City of London. Entries are now closed for this years' awards having received over 170 category entries.
For the second year running the shortlist will be unveiled and exhibited at 100% Detail, Earl's Court, London from 22nd-25th September.

The "Gold Award" will be awarded by the judges to the best winner from the four categories, regardless of category entered.
The judges may also, at their sole discretion, give special awards for outstanding small projects, innovation and best use of British timber.
