Now they pursue their experiments with trees. By means of the same technology they make only a few weeks old aspens bloom.
So far it has been almost impossible to improve trees by breeding, because they take such a long time to bloom for the first time. By making very young tree plants bloom, breeding can be accelerated so that it can be done in a few years only.
