This workshop on climate change and forest genetic diversity is one of the actions of the MCPFE Work Programme to implement Vienna Resolution 5 (Climate change and sustainable forest management in Europe).
The purpose of the workshop is to analyze the role of forest genetic diversity in mitigating the effects of climate change and maintaining sustainable forestry in Europe. It will also aim at providing recommendations to the MCPFE process based on current scientific knowledge on this topic.
