13:15: Thomas Stemberger will meet you at reception of Hotel Ibis, where the most of you have accommodation.
Transfer to the meeting place. (Those, who haven’t checked in at Hotel Ibis or take a city tour, please come to meeting place directly.
14:00: European Forestry Network Meeting 2008
House of Austrian Agriculture and Forestry, Schauflergasse 6, 1014 Wien, meeting room, ground floor.
Appr. 18:30: End of meeting
19:00: Dinner hosted by The Austrian Forest Society (“Gösser Bierklinik”, Steindlgasse 4, 1010 Vienna)
Friday, Sept. 26th, Forestry excursion,
7:30: Departure from Hotel Ibis to Gutenstein area, appr. 100 km south-west of Vienna
Mountain forestry (closed to nature silviculture, mechanised harvesting) Forest cooperatives, management of forests Non-wood forest goods: charcoal production, resin
17:30: Departure from excursion-area to Vienna
19:00: Finish of the EFN-meeting at a wine farmers place on the outskirts of Vienna (“Heuriger Steinklammer”, Jesuitensteig 28-30, 1230 Vienna)
21.30: Transfer back to hotel
Usually weather will be fine in September, but we advice to bring compact shoes and rainwear with you, cause we will be at mountain area. The Estonian Delegation, which will depart at 19:40, will be transfered to Vienna International Airport in time.
