29-10-2016 - We are pleased to inform you that our proposal for a session at the IUFRO 125th Anniversary Congress has been accepted!
This means that the LIFEGENMON project and its topics will be present at the Congress in a big way. In one of our previous posts we have already announced that there will be a keynote address from Prof. Dr. Hojka Kraigher, LIFEGENMON project coordinator at IUFRO 2017 – find out more here.
In addition to the keynote address, there will be a wider discussion about forest genetic diversity and forest genetic monitoring, crucial topics for the future of forests worldwide in the parallel session titled: “Forest policy and biodiversity strategy: The relevance of forest genetic resources”. The session will consist of a combination of lectures, poster presentations and a plenary discussion. You can become a part of it by submitting an abstract of your relevant scientific publication to the IUFRO 2017 website.
The more contributions it gets, the better, longer and more relevant the LIFEGENMON session will become. If you you can contribute in any way (lecture or poster), please don’t hesitate to submit your abstract by 30.11.2016 – the final deadline for submissions!
Please visit the call for abstracts at the IUFRO 2017 website and follow the steps below:
