9 November 2015
As it has become a tradition, like all previous years, at the end of November the “Salon des Artistes Animaliers, de Chasse et de la Nature” (Exhibition of Animal, Hunting and Nature Artists) is opening in Paris.
This is the 5th time that this undoubtedly important global event takes place at the Auteuil Racecourse in Paris, France from November 20-22, 2015.
The CIC’s French Delegation is proud to sponsor the event once again. After prominent personalities such as His Excellency Mr. Valéry Giscard d’Estaing, long-standing member of the CIC and past President of the French Republic, this year Mr. Gonzague Saint Bris, author, journalist, and historian will be chairing the exhibition and the awards ceremony.
Throughout the history of the exhibition interest has been constantly growing. This is visible in the participation numbers – almost 3.000 spectators in the first year, 2011, and then 5.500 last year. This year, 6.000 visitors interested in the artistic approach of hunting and nature are expected to attend.
Amongst the highlights of this year’s program are:
The Medal Awards Ceremony
The Official Opening of the Exhibition
An Afternoon of races at the Auteuil Racecourse
All of the French and foreign contemporary artists (nearly 50) who will be present at the event have been selected by a committee of artistic experts and collectors. Artists will be presenting their most recent works throughout the duration of the exhibition.
