22 June 2015 - It held on June 16, 2015 this year's inaugural meeting of the National Forest Council.

The Council since 2013, the Government's advisory body on professional issues.
This year, the minister of agriculture has transformed the National Forest Council's membership, which uses a smaller, 12-person staff.
The members of the Forest Council: are the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and nature conservation departments, the forestry authorities, forest owners, forest managers representative bodies (Chamber of the National Agricultural, the private forest farmers National Association, the National Forestry Association), the Forests scientific institutions (the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, the University of West Hungary, the Forest Research Institute) and the hiker and non-governmental organizations dealing with forests (Association of Hungarian tourist, Pro Silva Hungaria, Hungary WWF).
The Council's membership of the transformation of the Council meeting, a new president elected. The members of the Council, Dr. Ferenc Lakatos, Dean of the Faculty of Forestry UWH elected to the post.
The new direction of President of the Council then discussed the current problems of the private forestry sector and the amendment of the legislation process.

Memorable to the National Forest Council held its first inaugural meeting on 26 January 2010. The members of the organization in 2009 XXXVII on forests, protection of forests and forest management under § 21 of the Law, Minister Jozsef Graf is responsible for forest management at the time requested.

The members of the Council at that time was 6-7 conservationists, but it was a member of the Hungarian Federation of Forestry and Wood Industries (FAGOSZ) as well. Today, the greens over-represented eliminated, but the FAGOSZ not already a member.
