The publications open a window to the fatherland too, as they report on the latest events in Hungary, and they spare neither trouble nor resources of commenting and reviewing also on forestry matters.
Here on, ForestPress, the Hungarian on-line newspaper introduces the latest editions of ’Kapocs’(Link).
Most of the forestry engineers with ’Canadian degrees’ have made good use of their knowledge in the branch, some of them have chosen related professions or tried their fortune in other fields.
We can find among them for instance a natural scientist, a plant breeder, a university professor, but also a businessman and an antiques dealer.
One of them is László Rétfalvi, holder of a second degree in biology, works for conservation. He and György Draskóy deserve all merit and praise for their performance in editing ’Kapocs’. In the 2004/2 no. for example the reader can find the description of the Sopron Days of Revolution 1956, written by László Rétfalvi.
The periodical is bilingual. Besides Hungarian articles, you can find English ones as well.
