Augsburg, 14 July 2015 - The floor space taken up by JAGEN UND FISCHEN inside is increasing from year to year and this means that the range of products and services on display for visitors to the JAGEN UND FISCHEN trade fair in Augsburg which will be taking place for the fifth time already from 21 to 24 January 2016 will also be increasing.
The next expansion of floor space will be taken up with archery. In addition to this, the focus of all associate organisations will be on the topic of nature conservation in particular.
Impressive facts
More than 100 applications had already been received by Messe Augsburg from exhibitors even before the summer break. "We are growing all the time and we have undertaken to do more in the future. The commitment of the trade fair team is unbelievably high, which benefits our exhibitors in particular", explains Gerhard Reiter, Managing Director of Messe Augsburg. The relevant figures record this growth, such as, for example, the growth in the number of exhibitors of 16 percent and a 12 percent increase in the number of visitors compared with the previous year. 100 percent of the exhibitors and 94 percent of the visitors will definitely or probably recommend JAGEN UND FISCHEN to others. Since 94 percent of exhibitors have achieved their customer relationship management targets and 95 percent have achieved their set goal of cultivating their image.
Putting Nature Conservation into practice
Wild game in our woods lives in its natural environment; other animals reared specifically for their meat have not had this opportunity for a long time now. The aim of Jägervereinigung Augsburg e.V. is to respect nature, take good care to maintain a wide range of game as well as practice sustainable hunting respecting all aspects of nature. It will be presenting an exciting special exhibition once more in January. The Deutsche Falknerorden (DFO), Bund für Falknerei, Greifvogelschutz und Greifvogelkunde e.V. is the oldest association in the world for the protection of falconry and birds of prey, as well as being a recognised nature conservation organisation, which has not only dedicated itself to preserving falconry as a type of hunting, but also to the protection of birds of prey and small game. The conservation of nature is also part and parcel of the day-to-day business of anglers, with the aim of maintaining an abundance of species in waters. The hydro-electric power stations in Swabia hit the headlines for the wrong reasons again and again, since often they do not ensure the residual amount of water which has to be left in rivers to enable aquatic animal and plant life to survive. Riparian buffer strips, which have still not been regulated in Bavaria, are another hotly-debated topic. Valuable soil and manure runs off from the fields into the rivers. The progressive silting up of the rivers deprives the fish of the clean gravel they need to spawn and reproduce. At the same time the increase in the rate of growth of algae and the fluctuation in the oxygen balance content is giving rise to specific problems. The district angling associations in Swabia and Upper Bavaria and the regional angling association in Bavaria and the angling technical support team working for the district of Swabia, all of which will be introducing themself at the trade fair, are fighting for improvements here. About one third of what we eat could not be produced were it not for bees. Landesverband Bayerischer Imker e.V. regards conveying the knowledge it has about this valuable pollinating insect, which not only pollinates our fruit trees, but also all useful plants and wild plants as well, and produces tasty honey in doing so, as one of its most important tasks at the trade fair.
What matters to these associations is that they explain important correlations to the visitors, in order to make people rethink their attitudes so that nature conservation and its many facets assume prime importance.
Taut bowstrings
Archery is becoming more and more popular and this is also shown by the success of the special display put on at the last JAGEN UND FISCHEN. This is why this display is being expanded. Traditional archery and target archery are sports which elicit intuitive skills so that the archer becomes aware of them. In addition to this, archery is mentally relaxing and fascinates many people. "For a short period of time archery insulated the archer from the stresses of everyday life. Each shaft he releases offers a brief respite from his troubles and worries", says Klemens Schmelter, who is convinced of the benefits of archery.
Approximately 1,600 square metres have been pencilled in for the special archery display in the brand new Halle 4 in January 2016. "This means that BogenSportWelt will be the largest archery shop in Germany and I regard this as a quantum leap forward in the development of this special display", says a satisfied Klemens Schmelter, proprietor of the firm Bogenzeit, which is now providing Messe Augsburg with effective support in networking for the second time. "This is the first time that BogenSportWelt has attended any trade fair at all with a stand of almost 100 square metres, and this means that it is a real first", explains Schmelter, who reckons that this exhibitor alone will pull in hundreds of visitors to the trade fair in Augsburg. But there are other highlights amongst the range of exhibitors. Vorderegger & Partner GmbH from Austria, a publisher specialising in target archery, known on account of the magazines 3-D Bogensport and Compound Magazin as well as good specialist literature on traditional and modern archery for both advanced and novice archers alike, will also be having a stand at Messe Augsburg. It will even be reeling in Robin Hood to Swabia in the winter of 2016, at least in the shape of the well-known archery hotel Robin HoodLand Planneralm from Donnersbach in Austria, which will be presenting its attractive archery-based packages. The Swabian manufacturer of bows, Weispo, from Jedesheim, will also be having a stand at the Augsburg Messe in January 2016 to display its high quality products, which visitors will, of course, also be able to touch and try out on the large dedicated archery range outside. This means that the versatile high-quality and international range of visitors to the first special display will be expanded by adopting a high quality approach.
A permanent fixture of the annual programme
In January 2016 it will already be the third occasion on which the Jenzi firm, one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of angling equipment in Europe, will be present at JAGEN UND FISCHEN to provide its own customers and fellow exhibitors with lectures, promotion anglers and its new product range with effective local support. The fight simulator is also very popular as it allows visitors to feel what it is like to fight predatory fish, sea fish and carp in real life. It is an exciting experience. In addition to this, we are putting on a display at our stand some of our 300 new products, including a well-thought-out range of bags and other practical things with which the consumer is not yet familiar in their new form", explains Claudia Jensen, who was relying on receiving positive feedback from her staff when she booked the stand at the trade fair again this year.
In the meantime JAGEN UND FISCHEN in Augsburg has become a permanent fixture of its marketing measures every year for Sauer & Sohn GmbH too. The Sauer 404, the new flagship model of the gunmaker from Isny, will be displaying many new tools at the coming trade fair. "Innovative accessories designed for use with the Sauer 404 will improve the total performance of this gun even more", reveals marketing manager Burkhard Bonarius, who knows that having a stand at this trade fair is the perfect method of reaching out to his potential customers in southern Germany. Soon the right cover will be available for the Sauer 404 for all applications with the newly-developed clarinet case or, if you prefer, the rapidly assembled stock covers in a rucksack. To this end Sauer has developed a universal key, concealed in the front end of the stock behind the removable sling ring. Those in search of greater flexibility when hunting will have an opportunity to see all these things at the stand, including the calibre change from standard to magnum. Besides which the Sauer 404 for the left-handed will be coming onto the market at the end of August or so. The version of the gun designed for ladies, Artemis, will also be available for both the right-handed and the left-handed from the autumn onwards. In January visitors will be able to inspect, pick up and aim all versions of the Sauer 404 in Augsburg.
