Running in the forest – slowly or quickly whisking amidst the hanging leaves of the foliage, enjoying the daytime freshness of the shadows; the fresh, cool air pouring into our lungs and circulation; the changing features of the ground, and the flexibility of forest paths unlike the asphalt of the city roads – is a special experience for any kind of amateur and professional sportsmen.

Ipoly Erdő Zrt. tries to create tradition in the sport-forest-forester relationship: since 2007 the event called „Ipoly Erdő Börzsöny Mountain Semi-Marathon and Family Running” (Ipoly Erdő Börzsönyi Hegyi Félmaraton és Családi Futás) has been organized on the last but one weekend in every August. In 2008 the event providing unique physical and mental experience takes place in Diósjenő, 23 August.
